Eligibility requirements to apply for the Germany Opportunity Card

  • Health insurance for medical needs.
  • Valid passport
  • At least two years of vocational training or a university degree acknowledged by their country of origin and accepted in Germany.
  • 2 years of relevant professional experience related to the qualification
  • Skill in German or English
  • Prior legal residence in Germany for 6 months or longer (Tourist visits do not count)
  • Between the ages of 18 and 40
  • Evidence of funds around € 13,092
  • A minimum of 6 from 14 points in the Opportunity card points system.
